So here's a story from A to Z, you wanna get with me you gotta listen carefully

I remember the first time I saw the video for Wannabe like it was yesterday, I remember so vividly thinking that these girls where so bad ass. I wanted to be them. I’m not sure which one, not Mel B, she was fear.

And despite their piss poor watered down feminism I really think girl power rang through to so many girls In the playground. (That was me giving a shit about feminism for a minute)

My mum’s favourite phrase of the nineties was “when I get my hands on those spice girls I’m going to ring their neck” clearly my mother was growing tired of keeping up with my spice girl wardrobe obsession.

And we ain’t even gonna talk about the time I turned up at a birthday party a week early dressed as Vicky B. I only wish there were photos.

One thing that never left me was my obsession for clumpy platform spice girl shoes.

Check these. I'm so pissed I didn't see them first. Bought by Liz from the Buy Sell Trade store on Berwick St.

PS If anyone had the video of Zelia, Lorna and I perfoming Say you’ll be there, I’ll pay big money for it!
